At Cramer, we are proud to share that we have obtained the Blue Certificate, an important recognition that reaffirms our commitment to efficient and sustainable water management. This achievement is the result of ongoing work focused on implementing concrete actions that allow us to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.

The Blue Certificate, created as part of the SuizAgua project of the Latin American Program “El Agua nos Une”, is promoted by the Sustainability and Climate Change Agency and Fundación Chile. This recognition has the support of various entities, among them the Environment Ministry, the Environment Superintendency, the General Directorate of Water, the National Institute of Agricultural Development (INDAP), the Chilean Economic Development Agency (CORFO) and ProChile.

As part of a public-private collaboration, this certificate comes under the Water Resources Adaptation Plan, which actively involves the private sector in comprehensive and sustainable water management. It is also one of the key instruments of the 2050 Long-Term Climate Strategy to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in particular SDG 6, which seeks to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water for all.

Our commitment has been formalized through the “Footprints Project”, an initiative with which we have been working to measure and optimize both our Blue Footprint and our Carbon Footprint. By applying the Water Footprint methodology (ISO 14.046), we evaluated our water consumption, identified critical areas in our processes and adopted actions that allowed us to reduce our impact, creating important opportunities for improvement in sustainability, which allowed us to obtain this prestigious certificate.

This achievement motivates us to continue promoting responsible and efficient water management in our operations, contributing to the sustainable future to which we are committed.
